Gypsy Witch Productions and the Vortex welcome featured performers, Joined-at-the-Hip and CuppaTea, with live music for improvisational American Tribal Style bellydance in the Vortex Theatre!  Special guest performers are Z-Helene, Erin Gillispie, and Liora & Mayura Blue!  7-9 pm with a short intermission; free show, donations appreciated!  Wine and beer and snacks for purchase in the Vortex's Butterfly Bar!  Make it a special Valentine's Day!  This is a "Leave No Trace" event, so please take all drink/food containers/trash from the Theatre and place in the recycling or trash receptacles on your way out.  Bring your friends and family and let's pack the Theatre!  Hopefully, this will be the first of many shows at this venue so we will have the opportunity to bring in other special guest performers!

Sahhira's Souk, Silken Nuances, Spiral Flame, Knightime Creations, Jamie Lynn, and Urban Nomad will be vending at the Austin Belly Dance Association's (ABA) Jukebox Show and "I Survived the Holidaze" annual party at the Dougherty Arts Center!  Shopping is free to the public!  Vendors must be ABA members in "Active" status and all vendors are responsible for their own sales and any applicable taxes.  Any Assistants to vendors must also be ABA members and if they are selling wares, must also have an Active Sales Tax Permit.  Vending space was awarded on a first-come basis and due to space limitations, no more vendors are being accepted for this event.  The last vendor only got in because of a cancellation of a previous vendor.  Vendors may set up at 530 pm and shopping is open at 630 pm and lasts until the show is over at 10 pm.  Show begins at 8 pm, with seating beginning at 730 pm.  Vendors must be out of the building by 10:30 pm.

The Austin Bellydance Association (ABA) is having another garage/yard sale in Northeast Austin from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.  2403 Stevens Cove, 78723 at Z-Helene's and Rick Fink's house, across from where it's often held at Sahhira's.  No early sales and no rain date.  Vendors/Sellers may begin to set up as early as 8 a.m.  You must be an ABA member on this date to sell (no fee) but the event is open to the public to shop (no entry fee)!  If you are selling only your own personal bellydance related items (no couches, etc.), then you do not need a Sales and Use Permit from the Comptroller's Office if ALL the items you are selling are considered garage sale wares (usually one-of-a-kind personal items on which you sell at less than you paid).  If you are selling ANY items from your past or current business (even if your business was not bellydance related), then you most likely will need to have a Sales and Use Permit and be in 'Active' status.  Every Vendor/Seller collects their own sales and is responsible for the payment of any applicable taxes.  The ABA makes no profit, collects any sales, or is responsible for any taxes from this event.  The residence owner is not responsible for any taxes of other Vendors/Sellers.  Use the 'Contact' form on this website to contact Sahhira if you wish to sign up and/or have questions.

Sonya is one of the special guests at Cafe Shimmy at Hot Mama's! Family-friendly venue. The evening will feature fabulous Middle Eastern fusion cuisine for purchase, maybe some local vendors, and of course beautiful bellydancing! All under the stars on Hot Mama's fantastic patio.   Hot Mama's is BYOB and there's no cover (tips appreciated!) to attend the event. Vendors will be kicking things off at 6:00, and belly dancing performances will begin at 7:00 and last until 8pm; Hot Mama's closes at 9pm.  Limited seating so it's good to bring your own chair.
